Witness

Limbs of prosperity stretch forth to carry a bountiful harvest to all. Leaves, true of color will draw those who seek and Hope will swallow the fruits of labor whole. Watch as seeds that remain take root and a new harvest of Faith is produced~Carlene Altom

I may whistle Dixie, but I don’t hold a Dixie Cup!

 Others witness your cup running over, yet this is promised just as it is written. You have been assigned your portion and your cup. Have Faith that the Pillar of Support will be provided so when you are struck or rebuked by a righteous man, you will receive strength to accept and Wisdom to know and understand the difference.

So I got a Big-Gulp! You read right! When cups were being handed out I was promised a Big- Gulp and assigned my portion well in advance! My Cup has been running over yet I do not fear this; it brings great peace to witness this promise, this law of attraction.

I find strength in the support that has been provided so that I may continue to hold my cup out so others may draw and drink from it. ~ Carlene Altom

The Gardner and the Farmer

Gardner~ Grows for passion, for beauty

Farmer~ Grows for abundance, for survival

Earth is our field, the seed our soul and seasons are the elements of our lives.  Understand your soil, season and the seed in which you plant; appreciate what lays dormant and nurture seeds that grow. Not all crops come in one season nor harvest at one time.  Alone you cannot be the Gardner and the Farmer; together you can become one and produce the fruits which will provide an abundance of beauty to nourish all. ~Carlene Altom 2-6-12

And now mix in the Assumption please

The Four Agreements book: “We create a lot of emotional poison just by making assumptions and taking it personally, because usually we start gossiping about our assumptions, and we believe we are right. Then we defend them and try to make someone else wrong”. Now mix that in with perception and my statement earlier, it’s no wonder a response can sometimes make your head spin, in a good or bad way.  When we assume, we misunderstand, and when we misunderstand were usually wrong…and yes To Assume makes and Ass out of U and Me (Didn’t we learn that back in middle school??)  Now change this rule up a little. What I get told over and over is I always assume the best in people. Well what’s wrong with that?  When I assume the best in people it’s like this light gets turned on inside of them. For the most part I am usually blessed and tickled pink when they go over and above what I expected. Do I ever get burned? You bet, running around trying to turn lights on everywhere you’re bound to get a few with bad wiring. Getting shocked and at times burned reminds us to wear gloves the next time and in some rare occasions disconnect. Now that’s when the other saying we love so much comes into play; Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me… After that people will start to judge your judgment of character.     ~ Carlene Altom 

Perception and Response make the world go around

Perception is based on the understanding of oneself and response is based on the understanding of others.  To truly accept others, you must first accept yourself.  Understanding who you are, your strengths and your weakness, then accepting them will change your response to the world. “No two minds think alike” is a powerful statement to remember. They may think similar, but no two minds think the same exact thoughts, play by play.  Celebrate the difference; it’s because of difference we are able to grow not just as individuals, but also as a whole and that is what makes the world go around.~ Carlene Altom 

Leave Your Prints Behind

The heaviest of loads create the landscape of your life. It provides trenches, peeks and valleys.... it gives life depth and opportunity. The Load in which you have been given was provided to leave the deepest imprint on your soul….. and what your meant to do with it, will leave the deepest imprint on others. ~Carlene Altom 1-5-12
