Faith and Humanity and a
Field of Flowers
I thought God was to
look out for us and we are to look out for others? Isn’t believing this and doing so called
Faith and Humanity? I say this because countless people repeat to me over and
over, “Now Carlene, you must look out after yourself first, because if you’re
not taken care of, how can you do all of this?”
“Quite trying to give it all away, look out for you first, then you can
help others.” I listen and I understand what they are saying, but I do not
agree. To even think of doing it that
ways seems so backwards to me. It
literally makes me ill to think of doing it any other way; I believe we are
here to look out for others. I have Faith that God will look out for me and
surround me with people who also understand to put others first and will always
look out for me. I believe with all my heart that you reap what you sow and I
believe the more you sow the more you receive.
Maybe this is why my FB pictures have so many of my wild flowers. I get
such great joy tossing the seeds each spring and fall. And for every seed that
grows that one seed gives back sometimes thousands of other tinny seeds. I spend hours at our little house walking the
fields I sowed and taking pictures so I can look back over the years, because
already over time these seed I have sowed multiplied on their own and gradually
I began to see clusters of colors mixed together of all kinds. Everything that
comes up is different and holds a splendor of its own. It’s like Gods Pallet
and over time these clusters of beauty, so natural will become a brilliant
blanket of color on His canvas. I
continue to sow and they continue to multiple and soon my little world will
light up for all to see. Now won’t that be a majestic view. So I ask you why is
it wrong to apply this to business? Wake
up old Corporate America and smell the wild flowers! ~Carlene Altom 1-17-12
