Share Your Faith~ By Emily McAdams

If you will spend some time each day
Just listening to God's voice
He'll tell you what you need to do
And in His words, rejoice.

He wills you to go through each day
Reaching out to those in need
To share your faith with those still lost
He's with you and He'll lead.

He gives the words you need to say
Through the Spirit who dwells within
And by your witness to them
Someone lost might turn from sin.

If by your words they realize
There's a better way for them
Introduce them to your Savior
And the life they'll share with Him.

Tell them that you've walked their way
Before you bowed your head
And asked God to forgive you
For the life of sin you lead.

Tell them He forgave you
When you accepted His only Son
And through His grace He saved you
And your lost soul was won.

You never know who might be saved
If you take the time to share
How they too can be saved like you
And dwell within His care.

Shift your focus, Things will become clear

My marketing style, I admit is unique, I incorporate a cause or non-profit in all I do for clients. I call it Marketing with a Purpose. I shift your focus from making money to raising money and raising awareness. It's my way of working with my two passions; increasing profits for a company and giving back to the community. I pay attention to what's going on in the world, look to see how a client can help, then incorporate it into a marketing plan. Sitting with a new client today, CNN was playing in the background. I had asked him what non-profit or cause the race he was putting on would be supporting. He told me about a place in Dallas that helps teenage runaways who have been forced into prostitution, a home that allows them to heal (which I can't wait to tour and see all the good things they are doing). I was explaining to him how I operate and asking him if they had an adult survivor, who now volunteers, that would be willing to share their story and tell how important these services the non-profit offers are; to give people something to connect with that they are supporting. I then told him I would go to my connections in the media to create awareness. I was looking up reporters who had done stories in the past on this subject to approach first, when in the background the story broke about the FBI's Bust of this very thing came on CNN. The United States is the number one offender of sex crimes against children. Over 105 children age 13-17 were rescued today, putting the issue in the current headlines. This will help bring attention to his cause and his company’s event that will support his cause. As I was talking, I knew God would use this to give someone the platform they needed to turn their pain into passion, that passion will fuel their purpose in life. I don't know who it is yet, but I do know they will be an amazing person and will be a great testimony of Gods love. I know the client’s event will be successful because their focus is now where God needs it, helping others and the non-profit will have exposure for their center and a new source of revenue for their budget. "No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.~ Matthew 6:24

Plane Crash in San Francisco's Airport ~Asiana Airlines

An Asiana Airlines flight from Seoul crashed on landing at San Francisco's airport Saturday, the Federal Aviation Authority confirmed.
It was not immediately known if there were casualties. Initial images from the scene showed smoke billowing from the plane and emergency exits open from the plane's fuselage.
The plane was a Boeing 777, FAA spokesman Lynn Lunsford said.
The airline is based in Seoul, South Korea.
Laura Brown, spokeswoman for the FAA in Washington, said Asiana Flight 214 from Seoul was attempting to land at San Francisco International Airport when it crashed.
"All we know is that a foreign airline, Asiana Airlines Flight 214 arriving from Seoul, South Korea, crashed while landing,'' she said. "That's all I've got right now.
A video clip posted to Youtube showed smoke coming from a silver-colored jet on the tarmac. Passengers could be seen jumping down the inflatable emergency slides.
The airline is based in Seoul, South Korea. Its website says its Boeing 777 can carry between 246 to 300 passengers.

WTH?

On January 23, 2013, I posted the following on my Facebook wall:

Legal question only..... so please, no moral debates here. Question: How can the legal system charge someone with a double homicide if one of their victims, is pregnant and the baby dies, but when a Dr performs an abortion, the "legal system" ok's it? Is it because it's ONLY the mother that has the right to choose? The Unborn Victims of Violence Act of 2004 (Public Law 108-212) is a United States law which recognizes a child in utero as a legal victim, if he or she is injured or killed during the commission of any of over 60 listed federal crimes of violence. The law defines "child in utero" as "a member of the species Homo sapiens, at any stage of development, who is carried in the womb"

I got a few, “Likes” and one comment stating, “that’s a very good question”, but to my surprise, not one single answer. That’s rare for my FB friends.  Could it be that it makes no sense?

Let’s, say a healthy woman comes into a clinic for an abortion, because history has shown, that just like birth control, abortions are not always 100% successful, some children survive, and do we charge the doctor with attempted murder? Is the mother charged with murder for hire, sort of like a hit man?  Can the child sue the doctor for personal injury or emotional trauma when they get older?

Are we saying, only a woman has the right to decide if the child lives or dies?
If that is the case, when pregnant drug addicts are charged, what grounds does the law prosecute them on?  Is the law saying that addictions are far more serious of a crime then attempted murder? Can a mother only harm her unborn child, if the end result is death, because if they are born addicted to drugs it is considered attempt to harm with bodily injury to a child?
It’s crazy that the government came up with a list of 60 federal crimes of violence that cannot be done to an unborn child and everything else is fair game.

This is what happens to me when I become house bound for two months:) I look at the world with common sense and become frustrated with the lack of, it seems to operate in.
I know I have said it before, but never underestimate the power of common sense, or the lack of it!

Now remember, nor moral debates, I really am trying to understand it, and the more I read, the less I understand.~ Carlene Altom 1-28-13

One Step Closer

Be grateful for your mistakes and the trials, travesties and tribulations from your enemies. Without the pain, you would not have the strength for your purpose, you would not be who you are today, have the people in your life as you do now, nor the passion that drives you to make a difference.  Believe, with all your heart, that evil attacks hardest, God’s strongest; those meant for God's greater purpose, and how great it is. Satan does everything in his power to get you to give up, give in, and go away.  Evil relishes those moments when you focus on what frustrates or angers you; all that is wrong is he and evil wants to be the center of your attention.  You may fall, you may fail and you may get knocked down; know, every time you get back up, every time you try, and every time you keep moving, you’re one step closer to God and the greatness He has in store for you! Divided We Stand

I pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all.

This is our current pledge that’s been modified 4 times since its original composition; the last time was in 1954 when Under God was added.

“I pledge allegiance” ~promise to be true

“to the flag” ~the symbol of our country

“of the United States of America” ~each state that has joined to make our country

“and to the Republic” ~a republic is a country where the people choose others to make laws for them

“for which it stands,” ~the flag means the country

“one nation” ~a single country

“under God,” ~the people believe in a supreme being

“indivisible,” ~the country cannot be divided

“with Liberty and Justice” ~ freedom and fairness

“for all.” ~for each person

The pledge says you are promising to be true to this goal.
To write the pledge to reflect reality would read something like this:

I pledge Allegiance to myself and to those who see it my way, one state, under man, divided, with oppression and mass murder weapons for all.

We have failed. We are divided. We are a culture of self-indulgence and era of excessive living, generations of instant gratification and a society that lacks accountability.
Over the next 5 years, inflation will make our basic needs unattainable for most Americans. September 18, 2008 was just the beginning. We have seen a rise in dictatorship and our debt. We are so divided that for the first time in our history we have not operated under a budget for 3 consecutive years, as of January 1st, we started our 4th.  When I “flip” a company, the first thing I start with is the budget. I cut spending by removing the unnecessary and renegotiate or seek out lower cost for what is needed. I evaluate team members; I recommend hiring, firing or a change in ones job description. No matter how ideal a plan is, if you have the wrong people to implement it, it is guaranteed fail. Our strength is only as strong as our weakest link and over the last 50 years our own government as proven to be Americas weakest link.
We are one nation, under debt, with excessive living and entitlements for all.~ Carlene Altom 1-7-13
