My marketing style, I admit is unique, I incorporate a cause or
non-profit in all I do for clients. I call it Marketing with a Purpose. I shift
your focus from making money to raising money and raising awareness. It's my
way of working with my two passions; increasing profits for a company and
giving back to the community. I pay attention to what's going on in the world,
look to see how a client can help, then incorporate it into a marketing plan.
Sitting with a new client today, CNN was playing in the background. I had asked
him what non-profit or cause the race he was putting on would be supporting. He
told me about a place in Dallas that helps teenage runaways who have been
forced into prostitution, a home that allows them to heal (which I can't wait
to tour and see all the good things they are doing). I was explaining to him
how I operate and asking him if they had an adult survivor, who now volunteers,
that would be willing to share their story and tell how important these
services the non-profit offers are; to give people something to connect with
that they are supporting. I then told him I would go to my connections in the
media to create awareness. I was looking up reporters who had done stories in
the past on this subject to approach first, when in the background the story
broke about the FBI's Bust of this very thing came on CNN. The United States is
the number one offender of sex crimes against children. Over 105 children age
13-17 were rescued today, putting the issue in the current headlines. This will
help bring attention to his cause and his company’s event that will support his
cause. As I was talking, I knew God would use this to give someone the platform
they needed to turn their pain into passion, that passion will fuel their
purpose in life. I don't know who it is yet, but I do know they will be an
amazing person and will be a great testimony of Gods love. I know the client’s
event will be successful because their focus is now where God needs it, helping
others and the non-profit will have exposure for their center and a new source
of revenue for their budget. "No one can serve two masters. Either you
will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and
despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.~ Matthew 6:24
