“Only God has the right to Judge me” seems like an oxymoron

If you are capable of judging my heart, then you will know, that I am not capable of breaking yours~ Carlene Altom 4-21-12

We raise our children, helping them develop the personal skills in life that will help them succeed. One of the most important skills that stresses and worries a parent more than anything, is when your child displays poor Judgment.  “Tommy, he is such a good kid, yet he always hangs around the wrong crowd, he needs to learn to be a better judge of character” or “Someone needs to teach Susie how to pick better boys to date, can’t she see how bad he is for her?” We pray every time they walk out that door that they use Good Judgment. We reward when they do and we punish when they do not. “Johnny, you are not displaying good judgment with choices of friends, that’s why you’re always in trouble” My favorite is, ”Judge for yourself” or “You be the judge of it”.
So they start exercising this skill, we pray and try to teach them to master it; then what do they get back, “Who are you to Judge?” Really? Who are they to Judge?

What we do in life requires decisions, from what we eat, to who our friends are and it’s when we make decisions that we display good judgment, verses bad judgment, and yes people Judge us by that.

The statement “Only God has the right to Judge me” seems like an oxymoron and it seems to be used as a free pass when others disapprove of ones actions. If we are all part of Him does that mean we are only certain parts?  If we are going to use the part of Him that’s Love and Forgiveness shouldn’t we use that good Judgment and wisdom of His as well?  Did I miss a disclaimer that say’s, “He gives us His all….all BUT……..”  I think the only “But” in all of this is, BUT, remember to USE His all, otherwise you can end up looking like the But with a double T.

It not that judging someone is wrong, it’s how we judge them and how we respond to that judgment that’s the issue; it’s the Lack of utilizing His all when doing all and remembering its only He who is right, 100% of the time..Now you be the Judge of thatJ ~Carlene Altom 4-21-12

Excuse me, but do you have to P ?

The two P’s in life Pain and Peace divide the good things in your life from the bad things. It’s what we use to separate what is negative and what is positive, what is light, what is dark, what is good, what is bad, what Is God, what is the Devil. Call is what you may, yet lean on the emotion not your own understanding of whatever Religion that seems to separate so many of us. Know this, the results are always the same; what line you cross over to, whichever P you chose, is the life you will live. Each will always bring you to the line to show you the other side and each will always give you the choice to cross over, but know this, when you do, when you truly cross that line, you will have left the other behind.  Peace cannot live in Pain and Pain cannot live in Peace.  Let go and remove what you no longer want in life, people, topics and situations, so you can cross that line. It’s a clear division, pain on one side, and peace on the other; what do you want more of?   ~Carlene Altom 4-16-12

Don't look at it as difficult; look at it as a lesson

When people hear about my life, year after year they say, “Wow, how have you managed”, some parts of my life are almost unbelievable, but believe me it is real.  I look back and recognize that there have always been others around to bare witness, and now I see why, some need it to believe what they have not seen.   I have lived a life in a constant state of humble. (If this is improper English, you will learn to speak CarleneJ)But what I focus on are only the things I want. When things happen, I do not focus on the act itself but rather I absorb every moment of it with HIM for strength and I really take it all in, because I need to understand it all for one day it will be used to help others. I mean, I am sure it is written somewhere in the bible that anything bad will be used for good.  I no longer label it as "Bad" in my life, like I use to, because I know with Faith that it's all used for good and I am just a vessel of that message through Him. It's almost as if I feel honored that he has chosen me, that He knows I have faith in Him and that through me he can deliver His message and others can bare witness. So in moments were I do get over whelmed, Pillars of support are provided and at times when I do not understand the message that’s being delivered, I seek wisdom and I am provided.  I do not try to understand the act itself, I have learned it’s more important to understand the lesson that is being taught, and to continue to stay the course and focus on what I want and not on what I don’t.  Remember A Shadow cannot Shine and what I want, is all that's promised! ~ Carlene Altom 4-16-12

This Recipe Feeds my Soul

If I can leave this world and in my heart I know that I made a Positive difference in the lives of others, then I know that I did what I was sent to do.  It breaks my heart to watch people continually sabotage their own life as well as others around them all because they are focusing on what they do not want in life. They post it on Facebook, they talk to all that will listen and by simply continuing this talk and thinking about it, they are drawing more of it onto them. Because I know that what’s need from me in this life I had to remove myself from these situations.

To change the life you are living today you start by changing the way you live. What you focus on is what you will get more of; yes it is really that simple. I say this because I have personally experienced it.  I have been known to win things, now I am not speaking every now and then, I mean really win things to a point were I get phone calls because there is a contest on a radio station and I have been requested over the years to Listen and be the right caller and win.  The one thing I noticed over the years was if any amount of negativity was around me, and I mean any, even a slight comment like, “Oh, good luck trying, I never win anything” I would physically feel an anxiety of sorts in my stomach, like it did a flip flop. I would then know in my heart that I was not going to win something.  I do not even like to go to Vegas, because I am asked to stand next to someone (my husband is famous for this) so they can win. If I got restless or frustrated, they would loose.  I knew that what I felt inside the pit of my tummy when negativity was around, even my own, was a built in alarm system, so I started to test it. What I learned over the last year was the power of positive and the power of negative energy, but it’s what I did next that really changed my life.  I made a clear and very conscious decision; I decided that I would change everything, the way I spoke, the things I focused on, the friends and Family I allowed in my life and yes I even got rid of clothes (the ones I wore when I weighed 138 pounds but was now 110) and the furniture, I just did not like.  I had to be bold and strong because I will be honest, it was hard. It took lots of practice when having to learn how to speak of what you want and not on what you don’t; to tell people that have been in your life for years, and some forever that there was no longer room for them. I watch the video “The Secrete” on Netflix on a nightly base for months. I would fall asleep to it, knowing that my subconscious mind would still be listening.  The funny part is, when I first watched it, I thought, “ok some of this is kind of kooky”, but for the most part, I got it. Now unless you have been witnessing the things that have been happening in my life personally, I am sure that people would think I was a little “kooky”.   My intuitions of just knowing without explanation had always been strong but now I really listened to it and I say what I feel, of what I envision in my mind of something to be.  At work I had always used that skill to set my goals, I could never explain to the people I would work with of how I came to the numbers in my head, there was no pro forma I worked off of, no fancy system that I used, I would have it just pop into my mind, write it down and achieve it. The same confidence I would get when I knew I was going to win something is what I would have when it came to these numbers.

So all of these things, being conscious and focusing on the words I speak, write and listen in a manner of what I want and then mixing that in with pure faith that my wants are His Will is really my recipe for success.
I now see through the eyes of my intuition, because I trust the recipe that was provided it feeds my soul well. ~Carlene Altom 3-25-12

A Shadow Cannot Shine

They seek not wisdom to know the difference, not glory for what is right.  They cast doubt to those who believe and mock words of jealousy to an open ear.
Center stage of destruction they dance to a crowd all their own. Be the light that cast shadows of doubt aside.  Turn away as they dance amongst themselves
Full of pride they sway to the chaos they created, music to their soul, a rhythm all their own.  A shadow cannot shine!  No matter how long it stands on center stage, the moment the spotlight hits it, it will disappear. Be bold! Live in a blaze, light up the world and watch as shadows disappear. ~Carlene Altom 3-13-12

Do you have a Diamond or do you have a pain in the glASS?

You can not Fake Real forever

God makes diamonds and man makes glass. They both can be cut and polished to perfection... at times it’s obvious to all which is real and others, it takes a master jeweler using his tools and experience to tell the difference. Naturally occurring diamonds are quite ordinary at first glance and their true exquisiteness as jewels is only accomplished through the cutting and polishing process. It’s rewarding to find a diamond in the rough.... someone that has hidden exceptional characteristics and future potential, but presently lacks the final touches that would make them truly shine. A real diamond adds value to your life as well as others and glass, no matter how pretty it seems......will never add value and will ultimately shatter under pressure......depending on where you are standing when this happens… up close or far away, will determine how badly you get cut.  Stop wasting time on people or circumstances that bring false value and hope!  Listen and learn from The Master Jeweler who will provide the tools. Allow Him to polish your cuts....and most important, allow Him to show you what is a diamond and what is glASS. ~Carlene Altom 3-9-12
